In this artfully elevation kitchen renovation, we embraced the industrial loft’s raw architecture and balanced it with refined, minimalist millwork. Modern art collectors, we sought to marry the client’s adjacent living area’s eclectic and vibrant walls with tonal wire-brushed slab cabinetry fronts and clean lines. The strongest piece of visual storytelling, Japanese pottery inspired tile, brings the organic and natural forms of clay to the space and the right amount of color to connect the kitchen to the rest of the home.
The built-in window banquette is a standout space-planning move and capitalizes on the elevated views. With added storage below the bench seat, the banquette serves double-duty as the cabinets here seamlessly integrate a fully functional office. This cabinetry features built-in pull-out trays housing a monitor, a concealed printer, and numerous hardware ports and outlets.
