Modern primary bath featuring large format tile with subtle veining in a warm taupe on the floors and walls.

Berthoud Trail

Our approach to updating the primary and guest bathrooms in this modern home was to let natural textures, light and restraint do the heavy lifting.

In the primary, large-format porcelain tile with soft veining wraps the floor and walls in one continuous surface and absorbs light rather than reflecting it—keeping the composition calm and monolithic while also making the space feel larger than its footprint. Hidden behind the two tiled columns flanking the door are dual shower systems allowing custom experiences for our clients. Pairing warm, muted earth tones with the cleanliness of white quartz, this spa-like retreat balances honed minimalism with organic texture.

For the guest bath, gorgeous terrazo envelopes the space with energy and texture. Credit to the installer for impeccable skill and attention to detail - the craftsmanship on this shower niche is to be respected. Contrasting hardware and countertops add just the right amount of visual break to feel layered and not simply decorative.
